I would like to welcome you to the website of Monagea N.S., which serves pupils in the parishes of Monagea and Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.  We are a Roman Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Limerick.

Monagea N.S. is an innovative school which draws on the combined talents and skills of  our wonderful pupils, staff, parents and the local Monagea community, to provide a holistic education for the pupils in our care.

We strive to develop the pupils’ academic, spiritual, moral and physical self. The full primary school curriculum is taught and pupils also participate in a range of extra-curricular activities. Care is also taken to ensure that the wellbeing and happiness of each and every pupil in the school is provided for.

We are very fortunate to have an extremely supportive parent body and their representative Parent Association. Parent nominees are also represented on the school’s Board of Management, the group of people entrusted to run the school.

We have a very happy and productive school and  I hope that by exploring  our website you gain  a good insight into how our school operates.
